Beetroot seeds is usually sown in slit trenches 2cm deep. Planting in rows is to facilitate the mechanical removal of weeds without disturbing the beet crop. In-row spacing is between 5 and 10cm depending on the size requirement needed at harvest and between row spacing ranges from 20 – 45cm
